Friday, September 21st, 2007

So.. my computer is still having technical difficulties…I’m working on it and hope to be back in action and blogging more soon!

In the meantime… I figured I’d share the latest bit of exciting news in my life and let any local readers know about a free class yoga class this SUNDAY..

Join us for a complimentary yoga class with our newest lululemon ambassador Sebastian this Sunday evening from 6:30-7:30pm. All levels, all ages, everyone’s welcome! So bring your friends and end your weekend in a great way!Hope to see you there!!

So in case you are wondering what an ambassador is or does I’ve attached the info below.. but it’s really a fun gig and an excellent way to create and keep their clothing designs fresh and most importantly functional. I must commend them on this aspect of Research and Design.

Hope to write again soon!!Really Sooon!!

The lululemon ambassador program is extended to unique individuals in our store communities who embody the lululemon lifestyle and live our culture. We value their community involvement and dedication to their area of expertise. We offer each ambassador an allowance of lululemon product for a year long period in exchange for their close involvement and input on our clothing designs.

We are certain that forming and celebrating such grass-roots relationships will ensure health and fitness in our store communities. We encourage our ambassadors to test the limits of our product and provide feedback to us to further develop the world’s best yoga-inspired athletic wear. We also use our ambassadors in all our communications materials, like store posters, website and postcards.

back it up.. please

craving and attachment… another lesson learned for Sebastian…

your computer crashes.. you hope you have stuff backed up, you hope you can save all your important data ie. your pictures from travelling, music, videos, your creative writing, business files etc..

you begin to feel emply without your daily dose of computer fun.. you realize how much you take for granted those collected bits of information stored on your good ole friend the CPU, thinking they will always be there for you.

I could write on this for some time and surf the dharma for lessons on attachment, craving and how to cope.. alas i’ve only a few moments on this computer which is not mine (it feels so foreign typing away on this keyboard)… so the only lesson or teaching that i’d like to share is

May all beings and your computer be happy!

p.s. my fave quote for the moment..

“in formal logic, a contradiction is the signal of a defeat, but in the evolution of real knowledge it marks the first step in progress towards a victory”

~Alfred North Whitehead
